Costa del Sol by Crystal Watson

The Costa del Sol is situated on the southern coastal region of Andalucia, and true to the Spanish name, boasts over 300 days of guaranteed sunshine a year. The region's sunny climate is due its geographical position and the range of hills, set back but parallel to the coast, which protects it from bad weather. Virtually all of the beaches along the Costa del Sol are European Blue Flag rated. Blue Flag beaches are recognized as having high environmental, sanitary and safety standards.
The Costa del Sol is also referred to as the "Costa del Golf" and lays claim to over 40 golf courses, each offering different challenges and making the courses suited to both the novice golfer and the expert. The area is famous for nightlife too, and there is an enormous range of restaurants, bars, and clubs to suit all budgets, ages and nationalities.
